"The way you tell your story to yourself matters."

-Amy Cuddy, American Social Psychologist

Associate Marriage & Family Therapist #109773

Trained Art Therapist

Supervised by Jennifer Ray, LMFT #86425

Every person has a story to tell and every person deserves to be heard. I would be honored to hear your story. All of us experience challenges and being able to share those is the first step toward moving toward the best version of ourselves.  Feelings, emotions and experiences do not define us, but sometimes they may take over and cause us to lose sight of our true selves.

I wish to be there for you through your journey toward discovering your authentic self, and I believe that therapy should be a collaborative process. You are the expert of your life, and I am here to work with you to explore what is working in your life, and what could benefit from some adjustments. Allow me to counsel you in managing anxiety and/or anxious thoughts before they have a chance to take over, or help you get back on track when you feel you have strayed from the path you would like to follow.  I have a special interest in working with individuals with ADHD who would like support in understanding how to best use ADHD to their advantage, and to deal with any difficulties it may cause. As a trained art therapist, I offer the use of art in sessions for my clients to utilize when words fall short.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from San Francisco State University as well as a Master of Arts Degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage & Family Therapy and Art Therapy from Phillips Graduate University.

I implement effective psychotherapy methods to instill self-understanding among clients and encourage them to adopt new attitudes and feelings towards life situations. It is essential to keep in mind that therapy is not a magic pill or a quick fix: therapy is a healing process that necessitates participation and investment from the client and caretaker alike. But in the end, making small changes to self-defeating behavior and coping with feelings of sadness, fear, and pain can bring life-altering results.

I also utilize Art Therapy with clients, which is the use of art in sessions to facilitate conversations and to help clients express themselves. Art Therapy is not about the quality of the art, just the meaning a person makes of it.
